Safeguarding
Resources & Reporting
Sometimes when we have a concern about a situation, or something just seems to be "a little off," we might want to share it and hand it off. Our Safeguarding Team are advocates to share that burden and get the concern to the right person. You can contact any of the following team members if you have a concern about potential sexual misconduct, grooming behavior, leveraging of power for selfish ends, or other types of abuse.

We also recognize that misconduct does not have to be sexual in nature to compromise the safety and well being of those in our congregation. Examples of general misconduct by a member of the clergy or staff that should be reported include the violation of ordination vows (for a clergy member), illegal activity, abuse of power, or habitual neglect of a person's role or office as stated in the DRM Constitution and Canons Title IV, Canon 1, Section 2, which contains these and more examples.
In cases of this type of misconduct, we follow the pattern of reporting and intervention outlined in the Sexual Misconduct Policy. The first step in reporting a case of general misconduct is filling out the corresponding form below.
